Nine ESPEN Guidelines now available as an app
The ESPEN guidelines app now comprises seven guidelines:
• Clinical Nutrition in Inflammatory Bowel Disease
• Clinical Nutrition in Liver Disease
• Clinical Nutrition in Cancer
• Clinical Nutrition in Surgery
• Clinical Nutrition in Chronic Intestinal Failure
• Home Enteral Nutrition
• Clinical Nutrition and Hydration in Geriatrics
• Home Parenteral Nutrition
• Obesity Care in Patients with Gastrointestinal and Liver Diseases
More app versions will follow. The app is available for download for iOS and Android and as a web-based version accessible at guidelines.espen.org for free.
The ESPEN guideline app and the web-version are dedicated to all professionals (physicians, nurses, dieticians, nutritionists, etc.) who encounter questions regarding the use of medical nutrition or nutritional support in general in their clinical everyday life. The guideline app program is supported by ESPEN and initially was also supported by the United European Gastroenterology (UEG).
